How To Post Videos

The Chemtrails Connect forum enables the embedding of videos from the following video services:

YouTube
Google Video
MySpace
Yahoo Video

The process for embedding videos is the same for all of these services.

The Short Version

Here is the short version for those who don't like reading instructions.

To embed a YouTube video, make a "tag" in your post that looks like this:

[video:youtube]v3x81hb-Vk0[/video]

The sequence of letters and numbers highlighted in yellow is the YouTube video ID.

If you want to embed a MySpace video, a Yahoo video, or a Google video, make a "tag" like this:

[video:google]6696666502913965744[/video]

The step-by-step detailed instructions are below.

The Long Version

Step 1: Get the Video ID

Copy the video ID into the clipboard, so you can paste it later.

The video ID for a YouTube video is located here (highlighted in yellow):

Step 2: Create a New Post

Create a new topic or a new reply in the forum by clicking the:

New Topic button: or the New Reply button:

Now, you will see the Post Entry form:

Step 3: Embed the Video

Click the "Embed Video" button (highlighted in red below):

This menu will appear:

Now, click on the video service you are embedding a video from.

This dialog box will appear:

Now simply paste the video ID you copied in step 1 into the dialog box:

Click OK.

The code used to embed videos now appears in body of the post:

You can move the [video:youtube...] tag anywhere you want the video to appear in your post.

NOTE: If you have the choice, make sure one of the following items is selected in the "Markup" dropdown box:

(1) "using UBB Code", or
(2) "using HTML and UBBCode"

Your video is now embedded in your post.
