BIZARRE claims that aircraft could be dumping harmful chemicals in the sky above Canvey have led to the town council requesting air tests to be carried out.
Even Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris has raised the concerns with the Department for Transport, and London airports, even though the claims have been rubbished.
The claims were presented to Canvey Town Council by Pat Muldoon, who believes aircraft could be dropping chemicals and confetti-sized metal pieces high in the atmosphere as a way of controling global warming.
He believes so-called chemtrails are much longer in length than normal aircraft trails. After discussing the evidence, the town’s council’s environment committee has agreed to write to Castle Point Council to request air sampling to reassure islanders.
Chairman John Anderson said: “We have receivedanumber of reports that say there is no evidence these chemicals are being released in the air over Canvey.
“The town council has taken residents’ concerns and investigated them, but other than request air sampling I do not see what more this council can do.”
Chemtrail conspiracies began in the USA in 1996 when the United States Air Force was accused of spraying the population with mysterious chemicals from aircraft, which created unusually long trail patterns.
MP Rebecca Harris said: “I do not believe the conspiracy theory claims that chemtrails pose a threat to the public. However, I completely respect the town council’s decision to refer the matter to environmental health at Castle Point.”
A Department for Transport spokesman said: "There is no credible evidence of the release of chemtrails from aircraft flying above the UK.
“Apart from crop-spraying planes, the only substance or aerosol being ejected from aircraft would be from the normal exhaust products from the aircraft."”

If people on Canvey are worried about air quality, then I suggest that rather than looking at the skies, they look at the pavements, drains and gutters first and then clear up all the dog mess and litter, rather than coming up with money wasting conspiracy stories

For an aircraft to deploy confetti sized metal pieces in an attempt to affect the climate of an entire area (it wouldn't work anyway) the aircraft would need to have a delivery system (not through the engine) this system would need to be mechanised (not through the fuel system as this would cause a blockage in the engine combustion system and fuel pumps) and would take up several tons of aircraft weight to deploy metal over a large area.
I think this is a really bad conspiracy theory. the only exhaust an aircraft releases into the atmosphere are, particulates, carbon gasses and unburned kerosene-mix droplets..

I would disagree with confetti sizes pieces. But a modern jet engine has a contrail or it does not depending on altitude. Correct !!!! So a plane comes into view, with either no contrail, as its not high enough, or a contrail, as its at an altitude for contrails to occur. Then planes start leaving a trail, which sometime is continuous, or on some occasions, the trail stops and starts, like someone's turning on and off a tap. Jet engines do not do this, it's abnormal, so what are they doing, flying planes and switching the engines off, and gliding, then re starting the engines.
Last night over the a130 near pitsea, there was a plane that came into view, with NO CONTRAIL, it then started a trail, a chemtrail, and took a route of a large full circle, then stopped its spraying and flew off without a contrail !!!!!!! And you expect me to believe that is normal behaviours from a modern jet engine. Really I think not.

Air pressure, air temperature, thermals. An explanation for the aircraft doing a circle may be that the aircraft needed to do this maneuver on air traffic control instruction. the pilot may have increased throttle to bank. this would have produced a contrail and Wing tip vortices. once the pilot resumed course and throttled back the engine, the contrails and vortices would have stopped.
Just think about it. if governments or clandestine NGO's where intent on contaminating fuel for a variety of proposed reasons this would need the support of.

oh dear. I was in the army for six years. Though i Did not work in aviation I know that the MOD cannot produce a New radio system without being 10 years behind schedule and several billion over budget. to Think that the MOD where in any way capable of a wide spread chemical release programme is laughable. the government cannot keep its own secrets, 'secret'.

i just don't think you have thought this through. I intend no offence 'you are entitled to your opinion' but a separate aerosol release system would require en-masse aircraft refits for the system to be installed. Aircraft manufacturers would also need to be in the 'loop' of the conspiracy. the CAA would also need to be in the loop.
it would not be a conspiracy. it would be common knowledge.
i put this in the same ludicrous category as US FEMUR camps, area 51 alien space ships or illuminati/Zionist world domination plans..

The Westwood Trials - Following the successful BW 'sabotage' attack on the Pentagon, by operatives from the Special Operation Division of Camp Detrick, the scientists from the UK Biological Warfare research facility at Porton Down decided to conduct similar experiments of their own. Unfortunately for them, they were refused permission to use Government buildings in Whitehall, London so, after a lengthy search for a suitable test location, they chose to use the highly classified underground British Museum Art Repository in Westwood Quarry, Wiltshire. During 1950-1951, scientists released large aerosols of an opportunistic pathogen in the British Museum part of the underground quarry - live Serratia marcescens (the same strain of bacteria which was used in the 1950 San Francisco experiments, and which is associated with the fatality of a hospital patient). Unfortunately, these large bacterial aerosols escaped from the BM Repository and entered the adjacent Royal Enfield underground factory. This factory was occupied at the time by over 200 workers! Needless to say, Porton scientists did not warn the factory workers of the risks - neither did they monitor the factory workers health!
The Railway Coach Trials - Yet another series of 'sabotage' experiments. This time the purpose was to investigate the feasibility of sabotage attacks on railway trains as they travelled through a tunnel. During these experiments, Porton scientists contaminated regular trains carrying members of the public as they passed through a tunnel on the Salisbury-Exeter line in the mid-fifties. The trials procedure was for a scientist to hide in a tunnel, equipped with a portable spraying apparatus. Just as the train passed, he operated the spray unit which produced a bacterial aerosol. Trials results proved that the interior of the train carriages became contaminated with the chosen bacteria. The passengers were not informed of their participation!
The BW 'Attacks' on the City of Salisbury - During 1960, an aircraft, flying an arc 40 miles upwind of Porton's nearby city of Salisbury, sprayed large quantities of a cadmium compound - Zinc Cadmium sulphide (ZnCds). This compound was carried by the wind into the city where, because of its small particle size, it was inhaled and digested by the unwitting population. Documents obtained by myself in 2001 revealed that although Porton were aware of the hazardous nature of ZnCds they never subjected it to toxicity tests prior to its release in populated areas. The population were never informed of these experiments - even the MOD commissioned Independent Review of 2000 didn't include the Salisbury experiments in any detail!

He also revealed that on four separate occasions, Porton scientists knowingly sprayed a contaminated bacterial suspension over a populated area!
As is this were not enough, during the interview Prof Spratt became aware that the MOD have not been as honest with him as he had thought. They had 'forgotten' to inform him of the six 'massive' crosswind line releases of live bacteria, which were conducted in 1968. Even worse, declassified documents revealed that these experiments were not conducted for any research purposes - they were instead carried out purely to show off Porton's dubious abilities to the UK Military!
The 1971 Collaborative UK/US BW Detection Trials -
During November 1971, Lyme Bay and the surrounding countryside again became the host for Porton's BW experiments, but this time there was a difference - Porton had invited two guests to participate in the tests; the US Army and the US Navy! As before, these experiments were highly classified, but in case the general public had discovered their existence, the MOD had prepared a Press Release which stated that no live bacteria were released. The declassification of the official trials report proved this statement to have been untrue - the report states that, on a number of occasions, massive amounts of live bacteria (Bacillus subtilis) were released.
1975 Joint UK/US BW Detection Trials (DICE Trials) - Little is known about this series of BW detection experiments, which were conducted in the Lyme Bay area. It is known that Porton scientists, in collaboration with US Military scientists, conducted 24 separate massive crosswind line releases of bacteria (Inactivated Serratia marcescens - ISM, and live Bacillus subtilis).
Yet again, as the interview shows, the Ministry of Defence appear to have 'forgotten' to inform Prof Spratt about the existence of a series of live bacterial releases in populated areas!
The 2001 Royal Mail Sorting Office Experiments - In response to the 2001 anthrax 'attacks' in the US, BW experiments were conducted at 3 major UK Royal Mail Sorting Offices which involved the release of live Bacillus subtilis.
During November 2006, BBC East broadcast a InsideOut 30 minute special - entitled Clouds of Secrey. This investigated Porton Down's 1960s BW spray 'attacks' on Norfolk (with the city of Norwich as the main target). It also revealed a recently discovered series of sprayings, conducted in the Cardington Bedford area in the early 1960s, which involved the use of Porton Down's clandestine spray vehicle - a specially converted 1 ton Morris van.

Enabling the UK public to learn more of these past experiments has become even more important following the 1999 MOD statement, which refused to rule out carrying out further larger scale trials in the future.
DERA, the MOD agency then responsible for the CBW facility at Porton Down, stated:
"In the event of a military question arising which could only be answered by conducting open air trials in areas which may involve the general public, Ministers have made it clear that they cannot rule out the need to conduct larger scale trials in the future to try to ensure the protection of the UK from attacks by peoples of states using biological or chemical weapons".
During June 2006, in reply to a FOIA request, Dstl Porton Down confirmed to me that the 1999 statement was still official Government policy, but that they had not as yet felt the need to conduct large-scale open air tests.
Until the MOD rescind this policy, we will continue to live with the knowledge that, should the MOD deem it necessary, Porton Down will restart their public area spraying programme.

Perhaps reading the following all the way through may help. The MOD did have a converted plane during the 60's to conduct aerosol spraying on the populous.

The Westwood Trials - Following the successful BW 'sabotage' attack on the Pentagon, by operatives from the Special Operation Division of Camp Detrick, the scientists from the UK Biological Warfare research facility at Porton Down decided to conduct similar experiments of their own. Unfortunately for them, they were refused permission to use Government buildings in Whitehall, London so, after a lengthy search for a suitable test location, they chose to use the highly classified underground British Museum Art Repository in Westwood Quarry, Wiltshire. During 1950-1951, scientists released large aerosols of an opportunistic pathogen in the British Museum part of the underground quarry - live Serratia marcescens (the same strain of bacteria which was used in the 1950 San Francisco experiments, and which is associated with the fatality of a hospital patient). Unfortunately, these large bacterial aerosols escaped from the BM Repository and entered the adjacent Royal Enfield underground factory. This factory was occupied at the time by over 200 workers! Needless to say, Porton scientists did not warn the factory workers of the risks - neither did they monitor the factory workers health!
The Railway Coach Trials - Yet another series of 'sabotage' experiments. This time the purpose was to investigate the feasibility of sabotage attacks on railway trains as they travelled through a tunnel. During these experiments, Porton scientists contaminated regular trains carrying members of the public as they passed through a tunnel on the Salisbury-Exeter line in the mid-fifties. The trials procedure was for a scientist to hide in a tunnel, equipped with a portable spraying apparatus. Just as the train passed, he operated the spray unit which produced a bacterial aerosol. Trials results proved that the interior of the train carriages became contaminated with the chosen bacteria. The passengers were not informed of their participation!
The BW 'Attacks' on the City of Salisbury - During 1960, an aircraft, flying an arc 40 miles upwind of Porton's nearby city of Salisbury, sprayed large quantities of a cadmium compound - Zinc Cadmium sulphide (ZnCds). This compound was carried by the wind into the city where, because of its small particle size, it was inhaled and digested by the unwitting population. Documents obtained by myself in 2001 revealed that although Porton were aware of the hazardous nature of ZnCds they never subjected it to toxicity tests prior to its release in populated areas. The population were never informed of these experiments - even the MOD commissioned Independent Review of 2000 didn't include the Salisbury experiments in any detail!

Because today is the day when the loonies come out in force walking around the island pointing at air craft in the sky and wibbling.
You can always tell the online loonies, they're the ones who cut and paste loads of meaningless drivel in order to dominate any discussion.
I feel sorry for our MP having to nod in agreement when really she should be kicking them in the balls and telling them to grow up.

A, im not a loonie, B, perhaps you ought to look outside the box. So explain a plane, or numerous planes that are not at a high enough altitude for the jet engine to produce a contrail, that very often daily fly over our skies, and come into view with no contrail, then start to leave a very long trail, for miles, then the trail stops and the plane goes on its merry way with no contrail !!! I see them all day long. It's abnormal. Personally, and this is the assumption I've come too, it's possibly not to harm, it's to alter the weather, or adjust the climate. I don't know the answer as no one from high up is prepared to discuss it. It was even noted in Somerset, a photo of the chemtrails, with the title, are we subject to Geoengineering, in the Wells Journal. Yes we are, and for which purpose I am unable to give an explanation. But the MOD did conduct airborne tests over the uk which they did deny for over 40 years. Eventually it was admitted what they had been doing.

oh for goodness sake! I'm not a fan of the airport because of noise- by no means do I think it's been raining metal confetti or blocking out the sun because of random chemical clouds. Or had single handed caused the flooding the other week. Some people need to really get a grip. If they keep looking up- they will very soon tread in poop. Tin foil on heads -I'd rather wear on my shoes!

No not a joke, try researching chemtrails, look at the facts, and look at the skies, and make your own decision. It is quite clear what is a contrail and what is a chemtrail.
Rebecca made enquiries on my behalf nearly a year ago, and the CAA came back with they are all contrails. The problem you have, and for any MP making enquiries, is that certain things are 'D' noticed, so if they do happen, did happen, something occurred, an actual event took place, something happeed to a person / persons, if its 'D' noticed, it cannot be admitted, spoken about, acknowledged, reported in the news, papers or radio - Effectively if never happened. That is why anyone enquiring about such will hit a brick wall.
