Chickens across the United States that were chicks at the time of arrival of Fukishima fallout are beginning to die. The younger the chick was when the radiation arrived the sooner the death. Now the chicks that were a bit older are dying.

Combine this with a genetic tweaking of the poultry stock this year which has ended up with birds failing to thrive and also a strain of Clostridium that causes gangrene and what you get are higher poultry prices and market scarcity, which is exactly what we are seeing.

If you are interested I can provide you with the research and an article I wrote on the topic.

Celeste

It would be interesting to get to know in what way the death of the chickens relate to the radiation released by the Fukushima accident.

Sorry it took so long to respond. We have had ice-age weather here and keeping up with all that needs attending with that is allot of work.

Feather loss, low egg production (looks to be calcium related which is interesting because the plants also exhibited low calcium symptoms)... both were receiving extra supplement, reduced immunity and anemia. Those are the symptoms relayed to me. The people involved have not done a necropsy.

That's what it looks like so far.

Just got word a young goat in the area is dying and the vet does not know why or isn't saying.

Celeste
