Changes to Elements Reported in Three Mineral Profiles Effective Tuesday, November 12, 2013, the array of elements reported in some of our tissue-mineral profiles will change. The reports will now include only those elements for which meaningful diagnostic interpretations, either toxicological or nutritional, can be made. This reduction in minerals reported should reduce turnaround time of results as well as potential confusion related to those elements for which detection is not linked to animal health. Please see below for a list of the tests impacted by this change and elements now included in each.
Toxic Elements - Tissue (70004): arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, selenium, thallium, and zinc
Toxic Elements - Biopsy (70017): copper, iron, lead, selenium, and zinc
Minerals - Water (70059): aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, phosphorus, selenium, sodium, sulfur, thallium, and zinc
