In my chem-trail story I tried to describe some black spider clouds that I have only seen twice. I asked a meteorologist from weather about my peculiar cloud experience. For posterity here is the discussion:

Dr. Masters,
I am a trained NOAA weather-spotter who has been puzzled on one type of cloud that I have only seen twice. Once in January 1997 in Eastern Washington and once about a month ago in Western Montana.
The cloud is a jet black, almost silhouette-like, irregular shaped, low hanging cloud. Small. It seems to have tendrils hanging down, so the bottom is not flat. It also can have tendrils going up (like I said irregular shape, but if I had to classify it it would be a cumulus of some sort). The two times I have seen them there are many of them but they are individual clouds that do not merge together. Both times there were mid-upper clouds above these low hanging clouds. The time I saw it in Washington there were high winds but the time in Montana not much for wind.
I should have snapped a picture of the Montana one but I didn't have my camera, in Washington my camera battery had died from exposure to freezing weather.
If you can help identify these mystery clouds it would be appreciated. If you know what I am describing an image or two would be appreciated. I have looked in all my weather identification books and keys and do not find anything like them.
Thank you, Celeste
RESPONSE:
Well, I'd have to have a picture to tell. Not sure from your description what they are, put they sound pretty interesting.
