Perhaps the most common device used by paid propagandists is fear, and the the most common fear used is isolation: The fear of being alone.
"Isolation" is perhaps the most common social engineering device used in advertising and disinformation campaigns.
This Popular Mechanics article plainly associates anyone who observes chemical aerosols with a "paranoid crackpot". Since no one wants to hang around with a paranoid crackpot, this propaganda has effectively driven a shim between any observant person and society. It has isolated them based simply on their observations.
But this short propaganda piece doesn't stop there. It also utilizes another social control device called "Concession".
"Concession" is the process of admitting a lessor crime to escape blame for a greater crime. It buys credibility for the liar.
This article concedes that toxic atmospheric spraying occurred once so as to avoid having to admit that atmospheric spraying occurs every day. This concession makes the unsophisticated reader feel as if the article has credibility simply because it makes a concession.
Thinking people understand that a military well-funded enough to carry out the largest aerial operation in human history is well-funded enough to instigate a propaganda campaign large enough to be seen by everyone.
Be a sophisticated reader by learning how to recognize when you're being played by propagandists, especially those who would put your life in danger. Chemical aerosols contain substances that are known to be highly toxic and deadly.
