June 5, 2009: Huge Silent Slow-Flying Low-Flying Jet
I just got back from doing some errands in Bangor.
I was unloading the truck and this huge very quiet very low-flying jet flew overhead very slowly. It was unusually quiet for such a large jet. It simply made the sound of gently rushing air.
The air in Bangor tonight has been pretty good (about level 1 of 10) but 5 minutes from home (Amherst), the air suddenly became about level 5 of 10 (pretty potent).
My joints started cracking, the salty-metallic taste to the air was intense, and I also had sharp shooting pains through my muscles, not to mention the tingling in hands and feet. My kidneys also started gently throbbing. I put on my wet mask as soon as I could.
Laura started getting sinus pain and a headache.
Don't know why the air is so clear in Bangor and so bad out here in the middle of nowhere, but it is.
