I do not believe they are uninformed.
They are compromised. They have made concessions in order to gain acceptance as "players".
It may be naive to try to "inform" people of this kind. By attempting to give them lessons, one succeeds merely in diminishing one's own status.
That is what happened to these activists in San Diego who tried to "inform" Alan Robock.

ETC and H.O.M.E. are politically organized, not just individuals on the make. Doubtless Robock is pleased, though, when H.O.M.E. put his essays on their site, as they do.
