Infrastructure Law Includes Kill Switch On Vehicles By 2026Make no mistake, this will evolve into a remote kill switch that can be operated by government officials.
In fact, this type of technology was introduced in the early 2000's as a means to stop criminals. It was featured in Popular Mechanics as an electronic speed bump that was under development. The speed bump would "interfere" with a car's electrical system and disable it for 30 minutes. Afterward, the car would be unharmed.
This claim drew criticism because electronics engineers know that this is not possible unless the car was intentionally designed with this capability.
This type of technology could also be extended to simulate an alien encounter or invasion. Hollywood has predisposed the public to believe that UFOs can have the effect of disabling cars by interfering with their electrical system while afterward, leaving them unharmed.
