When any public individual are able to break the heavy programming we are subjected to through public education and MainStream Media, it will probably always be of a particular reason throught a topical subject that represent a personal interest. - In the pursuit of detailed information of any kind on problematic topics, the public will at some point run into walls of secrecy and face obstacles of protection for apparently no good reason. - Chemtrails is definately a particular topic where detailed documentation and public information is lacking, even moreso than with Chemtrails "big brother" : Global Warming, now sold short as just 'Climate Change'. - Many may consider Chemtrails a public discussion by the fact it is a part of the larger topic of Geoengineering and thus Global Warming, the Chemtrail issue is nevertheless commonly presented as a "conspiracy theory" and a fringe topic. - Climate change is itself under attack by the recent Academic efforts to marginalise and diagnose any form of conspiricist thought with unrational and obsessive behavior. -

Out of the six researchers that constitute this UK 'Conspiracy Theory' project, there are two that also are part of COMPACT (Andrew McKenzie-McHarg and Alfred Moore) - As you hint at, the attempts by Academia to "study" Conspiracy Theory skillfully avoid to adress any of the topics themselves in whatever scientific or rigourous manner. These commissions politics and rhetoric is to generalize and cherrypick examples that suit their real purpose which i suspect is to do detailed surveys of the conspiracy theory public, their psychological profiles* and who/where they are. - My impression of the Academic effort to obtain the means and manpower to study 'Conspiracy Theory' is that it is premeditated in its intention to not do any in-depth, objective study of the topics they now villify with selected appeal to popularity argumants on topics such as Climate Change, Chemtrails or Vaccinations. In other words, these commissions are themselves part of the conspiracy that cause such things as Chemtrails and they are well aware of their roles. - Another point that is speculative, but nevertheless worth to keep in mind, is that the most savory arguments the do-good-proffessors of Academic Conspiracy Theory commissions will use, they often come from exagerrated points of view that appear construed in the first place.
