WW II "Contrail" Video: Every Word is Crafted Propaganda
"Once you convince the public that 'contrails' happened throughout history, they will ignore them when they see them today, and the ongoing chemical aerosol program will continue unopposed."
This video contains all of the artifacts of modern propaganda:
Timing: The video has been promoted to the public just when the ongoing chemical aerosol program was being noticed and questioned by the public, even though jet engines have been around for several decades.
Embedded Propaganda: Virtually every word is carefully chosen to effectively deliver the exact propaganda necessary to deter the modern public from recognizing the ongoing chemical aerosol program. The embedded propaganda which happens to be perfectly applicable to the current crisis is clearly no coincidence.
Implication and Misapplication: This is another common mode of propaganda. The embedded disinformation is implied by prompters of the video to be applicable to modern jet engines when, in reality, the propaganda would only apply to internal combustion engines pictured in the video (if the propaganda was true to begin with).
Neurolinguistics: Neurolinguistic association is utilized throughout the video to embed the repeated disinformation into the mind of the listener.
Repetition: Repetitive concepts are used to cement disinformation in the mind of the listener and to make it feel more credible to the listener.
Intonation: Speech patterns and tones that are used in the video are well-known to propagandists to provide maximum power of persuasion to listeners.
Fatigue-Inducing: Two elements of the video induce the fatigue element necessary to cause people to lower their cognitive defenses.
First, the perfectly consistent, clearly dubbed hum of engines in the background tends to induce a mild alpha state causing a person to become more vulnerable to suggestion.
Second, the long pause between 37s and 45s is a neurolinguistic technique commonly used by politicians to fatigue cognitive defenses further making people more vulnerable to suggestion.
Lack of Purpose and Standing: The video has no beneficial purpose on it's own. If it's not propaganda designed for another purpose, than it does more damage than good to its creators (explained in the next section). The only beneficial purpose for its creators is to convince the public that modern jet trails are "contrails" (although this is a misapplication, it still works).
Impeccable Quality: For a film clip of its age, this video displays state-of-the-art preservation, excellent resolution, and well balanced color for it's time, although this could be attributed to expert restorative and transfer techniques.
History-Changing: Altering the public knowledge or perception of history has been the most commonly-used type of propaganda since ancient times.
Details below the video.
Timing
This video has reemerged just in time to provide useful propaganda.
Just when the public is rapidly waking up to the new jet trail phenomenon, propagandists are lying hard to convince the public that nothing has changed; "everything is still the way it always has been", even though those old enough to remember know better.
Ask yourself, why are jet trails suddenly a heated controversy in the past 20 years? Why not previously?
If jet trails had been visible historically, the public would have seen them and this issue would have been around as long as such engines were in use.
(NOTE: New propaganda is now emerging to counter this fact. They are producing falsified newspaper clippings claiming widespread public concern for jet trails streaming across the sky in the 60's, 70's and 80's. This however, is a complete lie, an utter fabrication. Because some people have a difficult time believing that governments would produce propaganda in the form of artificially-aged newspapers, microfilm, and microfiche, this type of propaganda tends to be effective. See Modalities of Disinformation: How They Make You Believe A Lie)
Propagandists try to oppose this fact by claiming that the sudden public focus on jet trails is from a huge increase in jet traffic, but this is patently false. According to the FAA website, jet traffic increases at about 1% annually in the United States. Furthermore, jet trails appeared suddenly, literally overnight, in city after city, over a 10-year period (with few exceptions caused by early experimentation and development). Propagandists ignore this fact and attempt to refocus public attention elsewhere. This propaganda tactic is called "redirection".
Lately, propagandists have attempted to address the historic lack of public concern by producing a very bold piece of propaganda that is also fake; A falsified news broadcast that also contains all the artifacts of modern propaganda. A treatise on this falsified broadcast will be coming soon.
Below are actual, unmodified videos showing large jets in flight.
Strategically Embedded Propaganda
Supporting Claims
The most effective propaganda contains only "supporting claims".
Supporting claims are false-"facts" specifically designed confirm a piece of propaganda in the mind of the listener. The propaganda being pushed is supported by these false-facts. The more false-facts there are supporting the propaganda, the harder it is for the subject to disbelieve the propaganda. Another related technique utilizes true facts taken out of context and misapplied to the subject in order to support the promoted propaganda.
People are more likely to believe propaganda that contains only "supporting claims" because they believe they have drawn their own conclusion by their own free will. The listener does not realize that the "supporting claims" were intentionally fabricated to lead them to a specific, predestined conclusion.
Example of A "supporting claim"
- A man's wife leaves for a weekend business trip. - The wife asks the man to stay home all weekend and not to go out partying with friends while she is gone. - The man agrees. - The man breaks his agreement and goes out partying with friends. - The wife returns home and asks the man if he stayed home as agreed. - The man claims that he did stay home. - When the wife challenges his honesty, the man shows her the GPS history on his cell phone showing that he didn't leave the house. - Wife accepts the evidence as truth because she does not know that the man has a cloned cell phone that he uses when out with friends.
In the example above, you'll notice another attribute of supporting claims: Key information is kept from the target of the propaganda. We'll talk more about this in a moment.
"Supporting Claims" In This Video
This propaganda video just happens to include all the supporting claims that are used to embed the contrail lie into the public mind today. In this video, the core propaganda is: "jet trails are 'contrails'". The supporting claims for the core propaganda are:
(1) Altitude: "contrails form at high altitude" (2) Temperature: "contrails form in a low temperature atmosphere"
The spiraling repetition of these two claims along with assertive overcompensation are hallmarks of propaganda. In this video, hardly a word is wasted while embedding the foregone "contrail" conclusion in the listener's mind:
0s: Supporting claim: "Altitude" "Climbing to reach your best operation altitude"
28s: Supporting claim: "Altitude". "Higher and higher into the lifeless stratosphere"
30s: Supporting claim: "Temperature" "...until the exhaust of the engines mixing with the cold, thin air condenses and streams the heavens with 'vapor trails'"
At 45 seconds, a hybrid propaganda technique is used: (1) Supporting claims (2) Witnesses
Here, the video begins expressing the feelings of the "men on the ships" towards the "vapor trails".
This constitutes a supporting claim because the feeling of the men are dependent on the vapor trails. In short, how could the men have feelings about something that does not exist. The cemented claim in the listener's mind is: "vapor trails obviously exist".
This also constitutes the use of witnesses for promoting the claim of vapor trails. Remember that you are not hearing the thoughts of the men first hand. You are only hearing a narrator relaying what the department of defense wants you to believe.
45s: Supporting claim, Witnesses "To the men on the ships they're ("vapor trails") far from beautiful, for they point like beckoning fingers to the formation."
52s: Supporting claim, Witnesses "Signposts in the sky for the enemy to spot us."
The 2 statements above utilize a process called "concession". This is the process of admitting a negative for the sake of promoting the propaganda.
An example of "concession":
A married couple has agreed that they will not: (1) go to bars, or (2) drink.
A spouse concedes (admits" to) stopping by a bar, but denies having anything to drink. In short, they concede to a lessor crime in order to avoid the greater.
In the case of the video, the concession is the danger the men are placed in because of the "vapor trails", when in truth, the vapor trail never existed or were intentionally caused by water injection engines, which were popular at that time. The concession makes the video feel more honest and is therefore more likely to be believed by the listener.
Dubbed Background Sound
The narration and background sound for this video were produced in a studio. The continuous, unchanging roar in the background was recorded separately and dubbed in later for effect.
Although it seems appropriate to have an aircraft-like sound in the background, we always have to remember that these videos are written, edited, dubbed, and narrated to do one thing: Promote the interests of the military industrial complex.
What is the Purpose of the Video?
You may ask, "What purpose does such a video serve?" Think about this for a moment.
Increasing military recruitment during World War II was a high priority for the military.
Would such a video promote or hinder recruitment?
Would exposing a specific danger of flying in (then) modern aircraft because of "vapor trails" help or hinder the security of future fleets?
Would such a video benefit the Air Force by exposing one of the fundamental vulnerabilities of modern American airplanes?
What exactly is the purpose for making such statements in a video?
The only purpose this video could serve is to normalize "contrails" and convince the public that they are "harmless water vapor" and that they have been around for a long time, and this propaganda is currently the highest priority of the modern military complex. No other beneficial purpose exists for making such statements except to help discredit the true cause of what we all see in the skies day after day.
Remember, the technology exists to create computer graphics so well that they are indistinguishable from reality.
Do you truly believe those committing the largest criminal attack in history would avoid using such technology out of the goodness of their hearts?
It is well past time that all people woke up to the truth about how the world really works.
Impeccable Quality, Great Color
For the era in which this video was supposedly shot, the quality is amazing. The video appears to have been copied from a well-kept, unscratched original using state-of-the-art processing. It is also in color.
This video was supposedly shot in 1944, but the first color negative films came into use shortly before, in 1935. False color processes were available before that.
Bonus: Trail Suddenly Stops
At 43 seconds into the video, you'll see a trail suddenly stop emitting from a plane.
Note: Water injection engines were very common during this era. If this is actual footage and not computer generated graphics, the clips may simply be showing the moment they were commanded to shut off their water injection systems.
Propaganda currently being pushed on the public claims: "contrails" can suddenly stop when a jet encounters an air mass with different temperature or humidity.
If they can convince the public this happened historically, the public will ignore the phenomenon when they see it happen today.
Propagandists need the public to believe this lie because the world is full of videos from the past 20 years showing modern jets with stopping and starting trails. Such videos do not exist before this, but propagandists are determined to convince the public that they do. They are, in fact, changing the perception of history.
Since the video producers intentionally placed this clip in the film, we know it must benefit them in some way, otherwise it would not be there.
As it happens, this video accomplishes precisely what modern propagandists want the public to believe, namely: that "contrails" can suddenly stop when a jet encounters an air mass with different temperature or humidity.
Once the public believes this, then modern sightings of this phenomenon will not qualify in their minds as evidence for intentional chemical aerosol spraying. Mission accomplished for the propagandist.
Do not be deceived.
Propagandists know how people think. They are trained to know how people draw conclusions and form beliefs. This is a very well-researched subject.
For this reason, you should not assume subtleties in propaganda are true any more than blatant features. It's all there for a reason, every bit.
Always remember: Subtle propaganda profoundly affects public opinion, and those who produce propaganda know it, and they use it often.
It's Just More Propaganda
We can draw no other conclusion than this:
This video is pure, finely-tuned, propaganda utilizing old clips blended with modern CGI (computer graphics) and well-developed lunguistic programming techniques. Some clips may be water-injection engines, which were popular at that time.
There are literally thousands of World War II airplane photos on the web, but only a small handful contains visible trails, and those photos are the only ones the propagandists continue to promote. It's not surprising that these photos also contains artifacts of modern processing.
Propagandists never showed the public the thousands of World War II photos showing planes without trails. They only utilized the 10-15 photos that do show trails, although we do presume that more will appear over time as they are produced for propaganda purposes.
Never underestimate propagandists. The moment you do, you will be vulnerable to their lies.
The video below is from DCS: Digital Combat Simulator. It is essentially a computer video game. If they can produce graphics such as this in a video game, imagine what a team of state-of-the-art re-creation specialists can do.
"Never assume anything you see in video or print is real. With today's technology, it's virtually impossible to tell."
