Description: The Mount Shasta area of northern California is known for its New Age devotees. Perhaps it's just a short step from New Age ideas to conspiracy theories. It sure seemed that way on the last Sunday in August 2013 when protesters gathered in front of the Redding City Hall to protest "geoengineering" with "chemtrails." Most people know that the white streaky clouds in the sky following airliners are vapor trails (contrails), but to believers they are a sign of a deep and intentional conspiracy.
