"A cloud in the ZKM! In the atriums 8 + 9 of the ZKM a real cloud is made tangible for the visitors, hovering not only statically in space, but moves through the atriums. The visitors have the opportunity to wander through a web through the various layers of the atmosphere of the cloud and so perceive this from different perspectives.

The ZKM has the Stuttgarter Energietechnik GmbH Transsolar invited to adopt, together with the Japanese architect Tetsuo Kondo climatic conditions for cloud formation in the museum as a symbol of the Exo-evolution and the digital tool of cultural nature. After clouds have only been shown in traditional art, they can be produced in contemporary art. After clouds were in the past, like the sun outside the human and earthly sphere, people succeed the first time, to imprison clouds in underground dwellings. Is the electric lighting in 1900, which transformed the natural night in artificially day, a 'Victory Over the Sun' (W. Khlebnikov, K. Malevich, M. Matyushin, 1913) has been achieved, so at the beginning of the 21st century victory over the clouds.

A man-made cloud is part of the development of modern art, everything that was previously representation, replaced by reality: Mountain paintings with waterfalls by real waterfalls, landscapes by Land Art, Still Life By object art, portraits by Body Art, finally, even the real audience for part of the artwork. The substitution of painted clouds by real clouds in the museum, produced industrially by the laws of nature by man, but primarily means that man can create, manage and control nature. The contours of the Exo-evolution are visible. This has become obvious that the relationship between man and nature has changed radically over the past 200 years. Until 1800, man has adapted to the natural environment, the external environment. Today we are creating a human environment, a technical civilization into which we fit and embed the nature, the natural world. We are no longer surrounded by nature, we surround nature. Man is the dominant power in the world. Thus the age of the Anthropocene is initiated."
