It is a similiar situation to the one of the tensions caused by Michael Murphy and Dane Wigington.
The focus to the Human Stain of persons prevents the consciousness of the topic which these persons are standing for. The scheme of focusing on the Human Stain causes the reflex to mourn for these persons. This kind of focusing enhances affective acting. Affective acting dominates public discussions.
This way the focusing on the real problem is disturbed and doesn't get discussed. But public discussion is important for the political process because a common consciousness is developed by that same discussion. And if this discussion is not led by facts the development of that common consciousness is equally disturbed.
"The Human Stain" causes psychological terror but nevertheless has its political function in the needed public discussion.
In this context, the discussion about the degrees of Hildegard Staninger (Sacarello) has the function to lower the value of the performance record of Staninger (Sacarello).
The function of sociology in society is to further a class society of "Have" and "Have-nots" which also distracts from the real problems discussed.
What really is of value to the discussed topic are the facts.
And where Humans are there are Stains. We just don't know them yet. And if we know them what has this to do with the facts being researched?
Before there were titles there were only autodidacts.
And with this kind of topic you won't get the recognition of society anyway because it is dominated by the mass media.
And those persons who have the courage to go with that kind of topic into the public arena of discussion ought to be supported. They will be controlled by the public argument.
