First of all: the commercial airliner are only partly involved in this. The loading of the material can be also hidden as there is a hierarchy within the airport staff and nobody wants to be involved with the toilet residue except the person who has to do the work.
Also, pilots are plenty around. They are afraid to loose the job as the pilot of the Hudson River landing (New York City) has shown. Also, for pilots it is like a knock-out when they don't fly.
