Hello, I record big sections of sky from outside my 3rd story window. I use a time lapse feature on my camcorder at a 1photo/5second rate. There are many ways to time lapse, even with a camera. This is a great way to get proof as to what is happening with what trails. Doing this for multiple days will show where commercial flight paths. Depending on how you angle your recording device you can also get a general idea of altitude.
