Well here is the beginning of the 2014 garden season in the Rocky Mountain with geo-engineering escalating.
All in all, the weather is cooler than normal which does not bode well for gardening. Not surprising after 9 feet of snow and -50 degrees.
Cool weather plants have all been planted and are doing well. Summer plants were planted with the expectation of warmer weather, not. So warm weather plants are all struggling to survive. Germination was higher this year in all classifications of plants: cold veggies/flowers/medicinal, warm weather veggies/flowers/medicinal and in the greenhouses. Seedling survival is about normal.
The odd thing about germination this year is that although the weather has been cold, warm weather seeds germinated faster and at a greater rate of success than last year which had significant warmer temperatures. Some seeds never germinated last year but did this year with in cold weather.
The garden is at least 1 month behind last year in growth.
This year fungi has increased and is posing a problem in the outdoor garden. Native plants are also experiencing an increase in mold/fungi and are also 1 month behind last year.
It appears as though greenery is so-so, but it remains to be seen about flowering. My garden certainly has produced fewer flowers and the nurseries are not carrying plants in flower.
That said, chlorosis of the leaves (yellowing due to lack of chlorophyll) is significant in the garden. Chlorosis can be caused by ozone or to much water causing iron deficiency. These are the common causes but if you remember back to one month post Fukushima all my chlorophyll colored (green) soap products turned bright pumpkin orange. So is it really radiation?
Background radiation has been significantly higher this year than normal. How much that is contributing to the garden issues this year is unknown at this time, but I will continue to monitor the situation. We have a radiation monitor to evaluate the situation.
I will also be monitoring calcium deficiency that plagued us last year but we should have corrected the issue with soil amendments this year.
Greenhouse stock is growing faster although it has also been delayed probably due to lower than normal temperatures outside.
The game plan is to move some of the outside warm weather crops into the green houses just in case it does not warm up and as geo-engineering continues to impact food crops and the weather.
As far as humans and animals go.....more males than females births and chickens are loosing feathers (not due to molting). They free range...so whats with that???? Our dog is turning gray. People in this area have five-fold increase in health problems:
1. Put on large amount of weight,
2. Aged significantly,
3. Increased pain,
4. Significant decrease in memory,
5. Death
