It is crucial in order to gain success towards raising public awareness. Many people together can contribute what they have to offer and an accumulative effort make huge gains!

ASSESSING OUR SKILL SET

Let's use this discussion to simply list what you feel that you enjoy or feel you are skilled at. Next please list what your experience is.

And, please of course, if you care to share, what if any barriers that you feel that you may have in an area that you are interested in! We can work around it and find ways to help you be the best that you can be. Even just a little bit of effort can help another activist achieve what they are looking to achieve.

Here are some categories that will play a part in bringing this cause to the table.


Writer, Speaker, Computer, Field activist, Driver, Legal advocate

Writer, some one who is creative, intuitive & grammatically able to make written materials which will be used for scripts for emailing, telemarketing, introduction letters, public event announcement flyers, inquiries for additional resources and networks. An exceptional writer may be in a position to write motivational and inspirational materials for activist members and general public sharing information that the speakers will share.

Speaker, some one who can speak over the phone well, or speak at rallies or be the person who meets and greets members of the public during events, rallies etc.

Computer worker, some one who can promote boots on the ground events by literally sharing the event into groups and on news pages. This person can also do the research for the speakers (phone) and field activist as to where to go. This person can research for the printer on what are cost effective places and way to print.

Field activist, delivering event signs and posting event flyers in public places, attend rallies hold signs.
Driver, bring field activists to locations, pick up written materials, assist with getting supplies for events etc.

Legal advocate, see what public gathering rules are, numbers, permits and costs, what locations are not private and what are public access.

Researcher, some one who can find out what types of connections can and should be made that would best optimize our networking. This person works with primarily with the computer and legal person.

As for ME I have experience in all of these categories, but gosh I sure wish to divvy out the load though!

I have one friend though who has a car and willing to load up with flyers and brings a friend to post flyers on telephone polls the night before the rally.

I could really use a friend who would be willing to copy and paste the url to my local events and try to keep the event up on the newsfeeds of different groups and or news pages etc.

Hi. I have skills in all of these areas. I will help out with whatever is needed. If there are more folks who are ready, willing & able, that would truly help us out tremendously. Im able to assist with writing, speaking & computer work, but will most certainly be able to assist with the other fields also.
My funds are extremely limited so travel is a bit of a problem, but Im willing to chip in where I can.
Im in Marin County, just north of San Francisco.
I do have plenty of spare time
